Katherine & Ian Proposal

On 24 September 2020, Ian asked the love of his life, Katherine to marry him. She said yes!

They both live in Durban and came down to Cape Town for the long weekend.

Ian wanted to propose somewhere on a beach near Mouille Point or surroundings, so we suggested Bakoven, which is a slightly more secluded beach just past Camps Bay. He wanted a romantic and private setting, where it would be just the two of them.

Due to it being a public holiday and expecting the beach to be busy later on, we suggested a sunrise proposal. The rocks were chosen as the proposal spot, as the backdrop of Lions Head and the 12 Apostles makes for the most incredible photos.

On the day, it was slightly overcast (but luckily clouds make for the best light). The couple arrived very early, just in time for sunrise and sat down at the picnic spot that we set up. We scattered flower petals over the picnic blanket and had a bunch of Katherine’s favourite colour of flowers next to the basket. Megan from Risen Sun (http://risensun.co.za/) hid behind a rock and captured Ian popping the question. Afterwards, they had a photoshoot together and celebrated with bubbly, hot coffee and a picnic breakfast.
