On Saturday, 25th September 2021, Kate & Greg’s wedding at Nooitgedacht Wine Estate.
It was a beautiful day, celebrated with their closest friends and family. Subsequently, as a result of Covid-19, many of their guests were unable to attend the wedding. Ultimately, the ceremony was live-streamed and recorded for the couple to hold on to forever. Meanwhile, even watching the wedding through the screen, their love poured through!
Ceremony
Kate & Greg’s Wedding ceremony took place on the immaculate lawn area at Nooitgedacht Wine Estate. A blush-coloured fabric arch was draped between two magnificent old oak trees. The guests were seated in three long curved rows, all having a clear view of the couple throughout the wedding ceremony. Each guest was given a glass marble to hold onto and place inside a vase at the end of the ceremony as a symbol of a special ring warming tradition.
In the end, after the sermon took place, guests tossed dried rose petal confetti over the happy couple. The photographer rounded up all the guests to take a group photo, after which the guests proceeded to head to the pre-dinner on the lawn area closer to the venue.
Pre-dinner
There was a variety of lounge seating, mixed in with cocktail tables for the guests to lounge around and mingle between. As well as Jewel-toned scatter cushions and colourful flowers in bud vases decorated the area.
In addition, the wedding party said a few speeches during this time, which worked very well, keeping guests entertained. While the guests socialised and enjoyed canapés and the gin bar, the family, bridal party, and the couples shoot took place.
Reception
Finally, as the sun set, guests made their way to the venue’s main hall, where they searched for their place on a seating chart. After finding their names and table numbers, each guest took their seat. Waiters ensured that everyone’s glasses were full and the meal started with homemade bread to the table.
As the evening progressed, a few more family members and friends said their speeches. Guests enjoyed platters to the table and the dinner ended off with Kate & Greg cutting their beautiful wedding cake and finally a delicious ice cream bar. In the end, guests spent the rest of the evening letting their hair down and dancing the night away!
In conclusion, Kate & Greg were a pleasure to work with and we wish them many happy years together!
