On Tuesday 14 December 2021, Kim & Adriaan said their vows and celebrated their intimate elopement at the incredible Grand Dedale Country House in Wellington.

It was a hot sunny day in December. Kim arrived at the venue in the morning to enjoy some relaxing spa treatments before having her hair and make up done in the honeymoon suite.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place before sunset, with the couple’s pastor officiating a beautiful sermon. Kim looked incredible in her Kobus Dieppenaar Atelier wedding gown, while she walked down an eight meter aisle filled with white rose petals. The ceremony area overlooked the mountains and paddocks, while horses frolicked in the background. We live streamed the ceremony so that the couple’s family in the USA could be part of this special moment. After the ceremony, Kim & Adriaan headed into the foyer area to sign the register.

Pre-dinner

Following the registry, they celebrated afterwards on the patio with delicious canapes and bubbly. Meanwhile, the couple’s fur babies; two Golden Retrievers and a cat arrived to take part in the celebrations and for their family photoshoot. The two Golden Retrievers wore matching green and white flower collars, while the cat wore a bowtie. The photographer took the couple to magical locations around the farm for their photoshoot.

Reception

Subsequent to the couple shoot, Kim & Adriaan arrived at the reception area, which was set up around the pool. Two rows of lanterns framed the pool. The table decor consisted of luscious white flowers, beautiful stationery and gold candlesticks and underplates. After taking their seats, the couple read cards to each other that they had written earlier in the day. The talented singer, Stuart Reece, serenaded the couple and sang some of their favorite songs. They enjoyed a three-course meal, followed by the cutting of their stunning wedding cake.

They had their first dance to “How long will I love you” by Ellie Goulding around the pool, which Stuart also sang.

The couple left early the next morning to fly to their honeymoon destination, which we also organised. Kim & Adriaan visited the luxurious Noka camp in Lapalala Game Reserve and loved every minute of their stay.

In conclusion, this intimate elopement was such a special and romantic celebration. We wish Kim & Adriaan all the best and lots of happiness for their future together!
